Also, of the word penis.<BR/><BR/>The spelling of cigaret without the extre "te" stopped me cold in the first read of the poem, and made me grimace on the second pass. I guess he used the "e" for Ruth, but why?<BR/><BR/>I liked the opening images, and the repetition of sadness, but not, so much, the poem as a whole. I'd be interested in reading more of his stuff, to see if it grows on me, or if I grow weary of it. It could truly go either way, and yet I'm happy to have read this poem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
